The soft goods or apparel sector includes a wide variety of products, many of which require a somewhat different approach in order to be a part of an effective source-tagging program at the retail store. Generally considered to be a major theft area, there are certain categories of apparel that stand out as significant problems.


Outerwear, intimate apparel, swimwear and jeans, as well a broad range of designer merchandise of all types is particularly prone to theft. Other high theft categories being targeted by retail include sporting goods such as branded apparel and sport specific gloves. In department and discount stores, the home fashion segment is a perennial problem. Accordingly, KMA offers a variety of sew-on labels, each designed to satisfy unique aesthetic, demographic, point of sale KMA sew-on labels are designed and tested for compatibility with both and application requirements of those host garment categories and products. Acoustic Magnetic (AM) and Swept Radio Frequency (RF) sensor technologies and are made with tested and field-proven materials.


KMA sew-on labels are manufactured in our ISO-9001 certified factories in Canada, Hong Kong and beginning early in 2007, we will begin manufacturing in India. We maintain inventory of all of our most popular products in our factory warehouses so we can process and ship orders, usually on the same day. In addition, our use of high-speed, high capacity, automated equipment means we can quickly fulfil large or custom orders. We also maintain long term supply agreements dedicated to maintaining custom inventories of select products, in custom colors and printing, for just in time (JIT) delivery programs.
